Isle of Wight Festival Tickets
The Isle of Wight Festival is steeped in musical heritage having shot to fame in the late 60’s and 1970 with appearances from Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, The Who and Jefferson Airplane. In 1970 500,000 people descended on the island to watch Hendrix, the island was overwhelmed by the volume of people and consequently an Act of Parliament was passed that banned gatherings of over 5000 people on the island… until June 2002 when the Festival was resurrected and 10,000 people came to celebrate the revival and watch The Charlatans, Robert Plant and Starsailor. Every June since the Festival has been held with audiences of up to 65,000 coming to see artists including David Bowie, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Neil Young, The Sex Pistols, Jay Z, The Who and The Prodigy. Renowned for its depth and diversity of musical talent, the Festival goes from strength to strength and 2013 will see headline performances from The Stone Roses, The Killers and Bon Jovi.
