30,000 fans for Aerosmith gig in Peru
Aerosmith tickets could be hard to come by when the US rock band visit the UK, especially as the buzz builds around their current tour of South America.
The Bad Boys from Boston are due to play at the Download Festival on June 13th and the O2 Arena on June 15th.
Currently, their Cocked, Locked, Ready To Rock tour is taking in the sites and sounds of Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Chile and Brazil.
On May 22nd, they played at the Esplandada Monumental in Lima, Peru, in front of a crowd estimated to be 30,000 strong.
Website Living in Peru reports that they played a 16-song set list, including classics such as Crazy, Walk this Way, Cryin' and a cover of Train Kept a-Rollin' by Tiny Bradshaw.
Lead singer Steven Tyler even sported a chullo, a traditional Peruvian hat, for a portion of the concert.
Lead guitarist Joe Perry said "Aerosmith is going to be rocking in the UK and Europe this summer. Enough BS - we're coming and everything is going to be set at eleven."
