Albarn explains Glastonbury set 'lacked human interaction'
Those who have tickets to see the Gorillaz in November have been assured that the band have learned from their mistakes after putting on a less than thrilling performance at Glastonbury.
Damon Albarn claims that the set lacked "human interaction" and that the reason why their performance in Denmark festival Roskilde garnered a better reception was because more time was spent communicating with the audience.
These comments were made in an interview with BBC Radio 1's Newsbeat, where the singer admitted: "We were yet to change the dynamic entirely from the cartoon band acting purely as a film orchestra into something that had more of a human element to it.
"It [Roskilde] evolved into something with more human interaction. I know what people were reacting to."
The band headlined Glastonbury after U2 had to drop out because frontman Bono had back problems.
Gorillaz are currently on tour promoting their second album Plastic Beach and are due to play in Manchester MEN Arena on November 12th.
