Alex Turner calls Kylie 'terrific'
Alex Turner from the Arctic Monkeys has admitted taking inspiration from Beyonce, Britney Spears and Kylie for the band's latest tour.
The front-man told NME that he had never been to a gig in an arena and wanted to see what he could learn.
"You can't try and be all coy about it with something that big," he told the music magazine.
"I think to some degree you can't hold back. That's what I've learnt from those three anyway. Kylie was terrific."
He admitted to enjoying Slow, the first release from her album Body Language in 2003.
The Arctic Monkeys are due to play a number of gigs in the UK later this month.
As well as playing their hometown Sheffield on November 14th, the band will also play Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena on November 16th and London's Wembley Arena on November 17th.
