Alicia Keys to go back-to-basics for landmark London show
Alicia Keys has revealed that she will go back to basics for her eagerly-anticipated Royal Albert Hall show.
While the American singer is currently busy at work on a new album, it is her 2001 classic Songs in A Minor that will be the focus of her concert at the historic London venue, which is set to take place on June 13th.
Indeed, the show will see Keys perform the multi-award-winning album on her own accompanied by only her piano, with the star telling the BBC that this one-off event s her way of celebrating the landmark tenth anniversary of her best-selling album in a city she loves.
"It's incredible that I've been able to make it ten years and here we are celebrating that," she told Newsbeat.
"London is so good to me. I want to show my gratitude," she added.
Meanwhile, those lucky enough to pick up Alicia Keys tickets for the London concert have also recently learnt that Keys is also currently working on a short film as part of a new project being organised by Jennifer Aniston.
