Alistair Cook 'bats like Rahul Dravid'
England's Alistair Cook is currently putting in a strong performance at the One Day Internationals (ODIs), it has been claimed.
Those with ODI tickets are seeing the batsman on great form at the moment and his playing style has been compared to former India captain Rahul Dravid, as well as Sri Lanka's Mahela Jayawardena.
Cricketcountry.com said: "Like, Cook, Dravid was labelled as a Test player early in his career but revived himself to become one of the highest run-scorers in ODIs."
It added that Jayawardena's ability to play well in all three formats and make the game look easy is similar to Cook's although the English play could do with a bit more of the elegance the Sri Lankan brings to the game.
English cricketer Ravi Bopara recently said that he intends to score big points against India during the ODIs in order to secure himself a place in the English cricket team for future matches.
