Alonso happy to get back behind the wheel

Alonso looking forward to Belgian Grand Prix

Fernando Alonso is looking forward to returning to racing following Formula One's three-week summer break.

And the Ferrari driver has promised those with tickets to this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix at Spa that they will be seeing a race on one of the best circuits in the F1 calendar.

"Three weeks is more than enough time to unwind, at least after the first few days," he said.

"Now, I really want to get back on track, but in a positive sense and in a calm way, without any feeling of anxiety."

He added that the track at Spa is "possibly the most appealing of the entire season", but it is the Italian Grand Prix at Monza that he is most looking forward to.

"Monza will be something special for me, given that it will be my race debut as a Ferrari driver in front of the Italian crowd," said the former world champion.

The Belgian Grand Prix gets underway this Sunday, August 29th, while the Italian Grand Prix is on Spetember 12th.
