Alonso 'optimistic' of British Grand Prix success
Fernando Alonso is confident of a strong performance at this weekend's British Formula One Grand Prix.
The Ferrari driver believes that changes made to his F10 car at the last Grand Prix in Valencia will give the team an edge at Silverstone.
He told the Ferrari website: "The configuration of the F10 seen in Valencia should give us a boost in these quick corners.
"It is best to wait and see where we will be, but I remain optimistic."
Alonso won the season's opening Grand Prix in Bahrain, but a series of disappointing results has seen the Spaniard drop to fifth in the championships.
But the 28-year-old is hoping that thorough preparation will help him reignite his title challenge on Sunday.

The British Grand Prix, along with its Italian counterpart, is the oldest continuously staged Formula One World Championship Grand Prix.
