Anderson injury fears eased after practice session
Cricket fans with npower Test match tickets would appear to have a good chance of seeing James Anderson in action, after England's primary strike bowler completed a training session this morning (August 17th) without aggravating a thigh injury.
Anderson reported the problem after the third Test against India at Edgbaston, which England won to clinch the series.
Graham Onions was brought into the squad as a possible replacement, but Anderson's completion of the nets session suggests that he should be fit to play in the fourth Test at the Oval, which begins tomorrow.
England captain Andrew Strauss said: "[Anderson] seems fine. Like all these things it was a niggle and we'll have to wait and see how he is, but we're very comforted by how he came through today. I think he should be okay."
The skipper also said it was "great" to see Onions back in the squad.
Fans heading to the Oval will also be looking forward to seeing the likes of Stuart Broad and Tim Bresnan, whose bowling has been too hot for India to handle at times in the series so far.
