Arctic Monkeys announce UK arena tour for 2013
Acclaimed British rock group Arctic Monkeys have announced plans for a UK arena tour later this year, tickets for which will go on sale on July 5th 2013.
The indie rockers will perform at Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena on October 22nd, followed by shows at Manchester Arena on the 23rd, Earls Court in London on the 25th, the Liverpool Echo Arena on the 28th, the Cardiff Motorpoint Arena on the 29th and the Birmingham LG Arena on the 31st.
They will then round off the tour with performances at Glasgow's Hydro and Sheffield Motorpoint Arena on November 1st and 2nd respectively, with The Strypes having been confirmed as the support act for all of these concerts.
Arctic Monkeys are currently riding high following their well-received appearance at the Glastonbury Festival and are gearing up for the release of their fifth studio album AM in September.
They have gained a reputation as one of the most influential British bands of the last few years, coming to the public's attention through online buzz and helping to spearhead the UK's post-punk revival movement.
