Arctic Monkeys frontman 'impressed' by Lady Gaga album cover
Those with Arctic Monkeys tickets may be surprised to hear that frontman Alex Turner is a fan of popstar Lady Gaga, at least when it comes to her album artwork.
In a recent interview with BBC 6 Music, the 25-year-old said he had been impressed by the cover of Gaga's latest album Born This Way, which features the singer's body becoming part of a motorbike.
"She is like a motorbike on the front cover of the album isn't she? Anyone who has that idea is alright with me. Imagine that meeting. Like, 'I've got an idea for the front cover. It's me, but I am a motorbike'. That's impressive."
Asked what mode of transport he would if he was given the chance, he said: "Speedboat. Maybe hovercraft. She's kinda took the best one hasn't she with the motorbike?"
Today (June 17th) sees Arctic Monkeys tickets go on sale for the band’s recently announced UK tour, which gets underway at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham on October 28th.
