Arctic Monkeys show off new album at homecoming gigs

Arctic Monkeys tour the UK this autumn

Fans with Arctic Monkeys tickets were treated to a live performance of tracks from the band's new album at two homecoming gigs last weekend.

The Sheffield band played to sell out crowds at the city's Don Valley Bowl venue on Friday and Saturday night.

Their set included six songs from the Arctic Monkeys' recently released fourth studio album Suck It and See.

The four-piece mixed new tracks, such as recent single Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair, along with a number of past favourites, including Mardy Bum, I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor and Fluorescent Adolescent.

This weekend also saw Suck It and See knock Lady Gaga off the UK number one album spot, making it the band's fourth chart topping LP in a row.

The Arctic Monkeys recently announced they are to play a UK tour this autumn, kicking off at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham on October 28th.
