Arlene Phillips rules out Strictly return but will be on live tour
Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips has ruled out a return to the show but has confirmed she will take part in the show's live tour later this year.
Phillips, 66, was sacked from the show last year and replaced with Alesha Dixon, sparking allegations of ageism at the BBC.
It had been rumoured that Dixon may leave the show, opening the door for Phillips to return. But, speaking to Hello magazine, she ruled out any chance of this happening.
"It's something that'll never happen," she said. "I don't even think about it."
However, she did confirm she would take up her old spot on the judges bench one last time when she appears on the Strictly Come Dancing live tour.
Phillips said: "It's the perfect way to say, 'Hi, I'm here and thank you for your support."
"I've always been passionate about Strictly," she added.
Strictly Come Dancing live tour will feature many of the favourite stars and routines from the show. It starts at Manchester's MEN Arena on January 15th.
