Band working on new album as Deep Purple tickets go on sale
Deep Purple to release a new album in 2012
Those who are lucky enough to get hold of Deep Purple tickets can also look forward to a new album from the band.
Tickets for the rock legends' recently announced tour of the UK went on sale at 9am this morning (April 15th).
Called The Songs That Built Rock tour, it is to feature support from a 38-piece symphony orchestra, the band have said.
In addition, Deep Purple will release a new album in 2012, it has emerged.
It will be the group's nineteenth studio album, while they have also released 34 live albums and two compilations.
The band, who formed in 1968, have sold over 100 million albums worldwide to date.
Their latest tour kicks off at the SECC in Glasgow on November 26th, while dates are also scheduled for the LG Arena in Birmingham on the 27th, Manchester's MEN Arena on the 29th and the O2 Arena in London on the 30th.
