Barrichello says he 'feels powerful' ahead of 300th race
Rubens Barrichello will go into this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix with his passion for racing still burning strong, he claims.
It will be the Brazilian's 300th Formula One race, but the 11-times grand prix winner is showing no signs of slowing down.
"The bit that touches me is how competitive I am at 300, but I feel powerful," he told the Press Association.
"I don't know why, but it's magic. I am surprised I can arrive here and be so enthusiastic, but I cannot tell you why it's happening."
He added that after just a week of the F1 summer break he was raring to get back behind the wheel and that he has been waking up at 4am to go to the gym in order to adjust himself to the European time zone ahead of this weekend's race.
"My wife is terrified because she thinks I'm going to race forever," he said.
The Belgian Grand Prix gets underway on Sunday, August 29th.
