Beady Eye release mixes to celebrate new single
Holders of Reading Festival tickets who are looking forward to seeing Beady Eye this summer can hear some of the band's own favourite music in two exclusive mixes created by guitarist Andy Bell.
The mixes were put on the group's website to celebrate the release of The Beat Goes On, the third single from their debut album Different Gear, Still Speeding.
First to be released was the I'm Coming Up! mix, which included songs such as The Word by the Beatles, Fools Gold by the Stone Roses and the Rolling Stones' Sympathy for the Devil.
The second selection, entitled Drifting, is described as 'morning-after music' and features Jimi Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac, Scott Walker and other acts.
Fans will be able to hear Beady Eye's own music when they headline the NME/Radio 1 stage on the first day of this year's Reading Festival.
Other bands set to perform at the venue include White Lies, Jane's Addiction and the Streets.
