Beady Eye tour: Liam Gallagher wants band to be bigger than The Beatles
Speaking ahead of the upcoming Beady Eye tour of the UK, frontman Liam Gallagher has said he has great expectations of his new band.
Formed from the remaining members of Oasis after the departure of Noel Gallagher, Liam has claimed Beady Eye could be as big, or even bigger than The Beatles.
In an interview for the latest edition of NME, he said: "I want to be as a big as The Beatles. F*** being as big as Oasis, man, you know what I mean?"
However, he did show some humility, admitting that the ambition probably wont be realised.
"I want to be bigger than The Beatles. That's what we're dealing with and whether we do or not - and we probably won't - but who cares?" he said.
Beady Eye, who released their debut album Different Gears, Still Speeding on March 1st, kick off a UK tour next month, starting at Rock City in Nottingham on April 11th.
