Ben Stokes brought in to England's one-day squad
Sports fans with one-day international tickets will be pleased to learn that all rounder Ben Stokes has received the call to join England's one-day limited-overs squad.
The 20-year-old former England Under-19 international said he is working hard behind the scene in preparation to ensure that he has a bigger role to play with the ball.
Stokes, who recently made his ODI debut in Ireland, believes that the England team's management has primarily recognised him for his batting, despite the fact that he has been focusing on his bowling.
The Durham County Academy alumnus was in top form for the Durham game at the start of the season before he was sidelined due to a finger injury.
"Batting is my strongest suit at the moment but I have worked pretty hard on my bowling over the winter and it was improving until the injury happened," Stokes said.
The England team recently announced that Kevin Pietersen has been left out of the England one-day squad for the five-match series against India.
