Beyonce backed by Tom Hanks ahead of UK tour
Beyonce has been paid a huge compliment by Hollywood heavyweight Tom Hanks ahead of her upcoming UK tour.
The Angels and Demons star chose the bootylicious singer's hit Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) when asked recently of his favourite track from 2009.
Speaking backstage at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 25th anniversary concert in New York, he even went so far as to sing some of the words in giving it his glowing endorsement.
"Dada-dada ring on it! Dada-dada ring on it," Hanks sang.
"That is a damn fine song, the Beyonce song ... because it's infectious."
Hanks went on to joke that Single Ladies had special significance for him because it summed up how he proposed to his wife, actress Rita Wilson, with the line: "I'm gon' put a ring on that finger. I'm gon' take that thing home."
Fans of the R&B singer can hear the top ten smash along with other hits such as If I Were a Boy, Halo and Video Phone at upcoming dates across the UK, including the London O2 Arena and Manchester's MEN Arena.
