Big Chill organiser aims to be 'part of the festival'
The organiser of the Big Chill are planning on making the most of the festival experience.
Katrina Larkin, who launched the event with Pete Lawrence in 1994, has said she does not like to take a back seat when the festival is on and instead aims to enjoy it as much as any standard ticket holder.
Speaking to the Birmingham Post, she said: "We try and do everything and be a part of the festival as much as possible because it's important to experience it from the view of people attending; we're weighing up whether to get tattoos on Sunday night..."
The Big Chill was recently bought by Melvin Benn's Festival Republic, which runs Reading and Leeds festivals among other events.
Ms Larkin said that bringing in someone with so much experience had helped the festival grow.
"I've worked with various production partners in the past, but never one who has so much experience of festivals," she told the news provider.
The Big Chill takes place from August 5th to 8th at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire.
