Blink 182 tour: Band 'gutted' by postponement

Blink 182 have rescheduled a UK tour

The recent news that the Blink 182 tour of the UK has been postponed left the band "gutted", bassist Mark Hoppus has said.

Blink 182 announced earlier this week that they are rescheduling their planned European shows as they had not been able to finish their new album in time.

The band said that they did not want to begin the tour before the album was ready as they wanted to be able to play fresh material.

Speaking to Kerrang, Hoppus said: "We are gutted that we are postponing the tour. It was not a decision we made lightly, but we did it to bring you a much better show with new material."

"We don't want to be one of those bands that rests on former success and keeps playing the same songs over and over, we want to tour new songs."

However, Blink 182 were also able to add some new dates to the tour, coming at the O2 in Dublin on June 12th, the Odyssey Arena in Belfast on June 13th and the Glasgow SECC on June 20th.
