Blur announce intimate four-date tour
An intimate Blur tour 2012 has just been announced by the band.
Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree will play a series of very special gigs as they warm up for their huge BT London Live performance in Hyde Park this summer.
They will kick things off at the historic Winter Gardens in Margate on August 1st before heading to Wolverhampton's Civic Hall on August 5th and 6th for the first time since 2009.
The four-date tour will conclude at Plymouth Pavilions on August 7th.
"Every one of these shows will be very special and we can't wait to get cracking," said bassist James.
Credited as helping to introduce Britpop to a mainstream audience - particularly through their chart battles with Manc rockers Oasis - Blur were recently awarded the Outstanding Contribution to Music accolade at the 2012 Brit Awards.
These special gigs are the perfect way for fans to see them in a more intimate setting before they get their Blur tickets for what is bound to be a memorable performance in Hyde Park on August 12th.
