Borthwick 'excited' about autumn international matches
England rugby star Steve Borthwick has spoken about playing at the autumn internationals next month.
Borthwick, who plays for Saracens, told BBC Radio 5 Live that he was "excited" about playing games against Australia, New Zealand and Argentina.
"As a squad, we will put in a lot of hard work to get the team prepared and build the partnerships as quickly as possible," he said.
"We can't do anything about the opposition or about the players who are out through injury - what we can do is focus on the players that are here and build the team as well as we possibly can."
Among those playing for England next month will be Richard Blaze and Courtney Lawes, both of whom are uncapped.
The team's resources have been stretched due to a number of injuries.
Among the big games set for the autumn internationals next month is England V Australia at Twickenham on November 7th and England V New Zealand at the same venue on November 21st.
