Bright Eyes 'not splitting'

Bright Eyes fans with Latitude tickets are able to breathe a sigh of relief now that Conor Oberst has dismissed rumours of a split.

Over the past couple of weeks, fans of the band had been concerned about their future after Oberst told Rolling Stone Magazine that he may consider 'retiring' the Bright Eyes name.

However, with the group gearing up to entertain the thousands of music fans lucky enough to get Latitude tickets, the NME has reported that, even if they will split, it won't be for some time yet.

Indeed, speaking to the publication, Oberst suggested that Bright Eyes will continue to make new music over the next couple of years.

"Hopefully we'll come back over [to Europe], hopefully we'll make another record," he said.

The latest Bright Eyes album, entitled The People's Key, was released to critical acclaim back in February.
