Broad looks to Aussie bowler Clark for Ashes inspiration
Stuart Broad has been studying Australian bowler Stuart Clark's successful 2006-07 Ashes performances to help him prepare for this winter's series.
Clark was the player of the series the last time England played Australia in The Ashes down under.
He took 26 wickets for an average of 17 as Australia swept to a 5-0 series win.
Speaking to the Australian Associated Press, Broad said he had been looking at Clark's technique and noted how he bowled at a full.
"And he managed to seam it on wickets with a wobbly seam, rather than holding the seam up straight as you do in England," he told the news provider.
"You can't ignore it because he had so much success doing it. Where other bowlers maybe didn't look as threatening, he always looked threatening in that series."
The first Test of the 2010-11 Ashes series gets underway in Brisbane on November 25th.
