Bruno Mars brushing up on local slang ahead of UK tour

Fans snapping Bruno Mars tickets may be better-able to connect with the musical star now he has started brushing up on his 'British English'.

The singer recently announced plans for a short tour of the UK, with concerts lined up for Brixton, Nottingham and Manchester in October.

In addition, it has also been confirmed that Mars will be among the numerous big name acts entertaining those with V Festival tickets later in the summer.

Perhaps with his forthcoming trip to the country in mind, the website Pop Crush has reported that he has been practising his Cockney English via the medium of Twitter.

Indeed, over the past few days, Mars has learned a host of rhyming slang terms, aided and abetted by his loyal British fans.

After a short and unsuccessful stint with Motown Records, Hawaii-born Mars finally hit the big time in 2009, both as a songwriter for other stars and a performers in his own right.
