US industry publication Music Week has named the hugely-popular singer among the most successful songwriters of 2010.
Mars, real name Peter Hernandez, worked alongside Philip Lawrence and Ari Levine on some of the year's top tracks including the smash hit Forget You by Cee Lo Green.
Collectively known as The Smeezingtons, the trio were named as the most successful writers for their work on songs including BoB's Nothin' On You and Mars' own hit Way You Are (Amazing).
Second place was awarded to Stargate who were also behind some of the year's best-loved tracks including Katy Perry's Firework, Ne-Yo's Beautiful Monster and Happiness by Alexis Jordan.
Tickets go on sale today (January 14th) for the forthcoming Bruno Mars tour, which begins at Cafe de Paris in London on January 24th.
