Button calls for clarification on team orders rule
Jenson Button has called on Formula One's governing body the FIA to clarify the rules over team orders.
It follows the recent FIA World Motor Sport Council meeting in which it was decided not to further punish Ferrari for the recent German Grand Prix incident.
During the race at Hockenheim, Ferrari ordered Felipe Massa to relinquish his lead to teammate Fernando Alonso.
The action was against FIA rules which prohibit teams giving such orders, but after the meeting the organisation promised to review the law.
Button said: "The decision is down to the FIA and the governing body, and the important thing is that we get a clarification of the rule, so we will understand and we are all working towards the same regulations and working with the same regulations and that's key."
Fellow driver Jarno Trulli agreed, saying: "I respect the FIA's decision and I think it's good to clarify everything, so we know what we have to do for the future."
