Carl Froch vs George Groves fight confirmed for 2013
Boxing fans can look forward to an all-star clash between two British favourites when Carl Froch climbs into the ring with George 'The Saint' Groves later this year.
The hotly-anticipated match-up was confirmed by both camps this week, with the fight scheduled to take place at a yet-to-be-confirmed venue in late November or early December 2013.
Undefeated challenger Groves will be taking on Froch for an opportunity to lay claim to his IBF and WBA super-middleweight titles, which he hopes to add to his recent WBA Inter-Continental title win.
It will be a tough ask for Groves, however, as Froch is a four-time world champion who was ranked by the BBC as the best British pound-for-pound boxer earlier this year.
With Groves having been selected as the mandatory challenger for Froch's title, the man nicknamed 'Cobra' said there was no chance of him backing down from the encounter by vacating his belts.
Promoter Eddie Hearn promised: "This fight will grow and grow and fans can expect an exciting night and a packed undercard when full details of the fight are announced."
