Charity single enters charts ahead of Peter Kay tour
Ahead of the start of a new Peter Kay tour this week, the comedian's latest charity single has entered the UK charts.
Kay, in his Britain's Got The Pop Factor... alter-ego Geraldine McQueen, recorded a duet with Susan Boyle, covering the song I Know Him So Well, which was released for Comic Relief last week.
It has now entered the UK singles chart at number 11, making it the second highest new entry of the week.
Elsewhere in the charts, Adele reclaimed the top spot from Nicole Sherzinger with her song Someone Like You.
In addition, Adele's album 21 has stayed at number one in the albums chart for a ninth successive week, equalling a record set by Madonna for the longest time spent at the top of the album charts for a female solo artist.
Meanwhile, Peter Kay begins a tour of the UK this week, starting at the O2 Arena in London on Thursday (March 31st).
