Charity single to get worldwide release as Peter Kay tour gets underway
With the new Peter Kay tour of the UK kicking off next week, the comedian could be about to become an international music star.
Peter Kay's collaboration with Susan Boyle, recorded to raise money for Comic Relief, has proved so popular with people from around the world it is to be given an international release.
The duo performed a version of Elaine Page's I Know Him So Well during last week's telethon and the recording has since gone to the top of the iTunes chart, prompting Comic Relief bosses to release it worldwide and raise even more money for charity.
Commenting on working with Kay, Boyle said: "I felt honoured when Peter asked me to take part in this video. His vision was clear from the start and I wanted to be involved. The video encapsulated the ethos of Comic Relief, having fun while raising money."
Peter Kay begins a UK tour at the O2 Arena in London on Thursday, March 31st.
