Chelsea Flower Show TV coverage details announced
For those unable to get their hands on Chelsea Flower Show tickets this year, the BBC has announced it will be broadcasting comprehensive coverage of the event.
A total of 11 hours of screen time will be dedicated to the Chelsea Flower Show, starting with a preview programme on BBC1 on May 22nd, Horticulture Week reports.
Alan Titchmarsh and Joe Swift will lead the evening coverage of the shows on BBC1 and BBC2, while Nicki Chapman and Andy Sturgeon will anchor the lunchtime slot on BBC1.
Meanwhile, a garden that won a highly prized gold medal at last year's show has now been opened to the public at its home in Leeds.
Created by Leeds City Council's parks and countryside service, it marked the first time in the history of the Chelsea show that a local authority had won gold in the elite large outdoor show garden category.
This year's Chelsea Flower Show opens on May 24th.
