Chris Hollins wins Strictly Come Dancing
Underdog Chris Hollins pulled off a shock result on Sunday (December 21st) by winning this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
The BBC presenter held off competition from Hollyoaks actor Ricky Whittle to land the crown for 2009.
Upon his victory, Hollins thanked his dance partner Ola Jordan.
"Thank you so much for believing in me all the way along. I did test you a little bit and the jive and quickstep come to mind. Thank you so much you lovely little girl," he said.
Jordan responded by saying the 38-year-old had been "the best partner" and a "dream to work with".
The competitors performed four dances over the course of the final with bookies' favourite Whittle and partner Natalie Low taking a 190 to 186 point lead from the judges' scores.
However, Hollins won over the public with his energetic performances and polled more votes from the audience, the decisive factor in the final.
Both Hollins and Whittle, along with their dance partners, will be taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing live tour which starts at Manchester's MEN Arena on January 15th.
