Coldplay pay tribute to Amy Winehouse
US fans with Coldplay tickets for their live show in Las Vegas were treated to an Amy Winehouse cover on Friday (September 23rd).
Frontman Chris Martin encouraged the crowd to sing along with their rendition of the recently deceased pop singer's hit Rehab.
It has been reported that the next day, at a Coldplay concert as part of Atlanta's Music Midtown Festival, the foursome performed REM's song Everybody Hurts in honour of the veteran rock group's announcement that members were going their separate ways.
The British group were not the only ones at Las Vegas' two-day iHeartRadio festival to pay tribute to Winehouse, as Bruno Mars also played a version of her single Valerie.
Other artists on Friday's star-studded bill included Jay-Z, Alicia Keys and the Black Eyed Peas, while Lady Gaga, Sting and Jeff Beck were among the musicians who took to the stage on the second day of the event.
