Crane targets Premiership final place after injury comeback
Leicester Tigers No 8 Jordan Crane is hoping to complete a miraculous comeback from injury to play in front of those with Aviva Premiership final tickets.
The 24-year-old limped off during his side's draw with Gloucester in April after suffering a recurrence of the ankle injury which had kept him out for three months at the start of the season, along with a small fracture to his fibula.
Initial prognoses estimated another three months on the sidelines for the player, effectively ending his season.
However, Crane surprised doctors with his speedy recovery and was able to play in Leicester's recent win over Northampton.
He now hopes to complete his comeback by playing in the upcoming Premiership final against Saracens.
"It would be massive for me to play in the final," he told the Leicester Mercury.
"It has been a tough season and the injuries I have had have probably ruined my chances
of getting to the World Cup. That's disappointing but. if I can play in the league final and we win, it will all be worth it."
Leicester Tigers take on Saracens at Twickenham on May 28th.
