David Guetta waited for Jessie J before releasing new album
David Guetta has revealed that he held back the release of his new album to ensure that it included a collaboration with British singer Jessie J.
The DJ, who will be taking to the decks for the entertainment of fans with Creamfields tickets this month, had completed his record and was preparing to release it when he heard about the possibility of working with the R&B and soul artist.
"So I called my label and said, 'Stop everything. The album can't go without this track'," Guetta told the Sun.
Despite having to work in an airport lounge in Ibiza to finish the vocal mix, the Frenchman managed to complete the collaboration and confirm a release date of August 29th for Nothing But the Beat, his fifth studio album.
Guetta will be playing on the final night of Creamfields 2011, along with the likes of Swedish House Mafia, Armin van Buuren, Example and Afrojack.
