December screening for Depeche Mode doc
A documentary about fans of Depeche Mode is to be given a special screening this December, it has been announced.
The Posters Came From The Walls, a film by music video director Nick Abrahams and Turner Prize winner Jeremy Deller, will be shown at the Clapham Picture House in London on December 1st.
Following the screening, fans will get a chance to take part in a Q&A session with the film's directors and special guests.
The film follows Depeche Mode fans from all over the world, from eastern Europe to the US and how the band's music affects their lives. Earlier this month, co-director Nick Abrahams told Clash magazine:
"The people who made it into the film are (hopefully) people whose great love of the band has been a positive element in their lives.
"Hopefully the film shows how empowering this side of being a fan is, how the music itself can become almost secondary to the culture which it spawns."
Depeche Mode will be playing a number of venues in the UK in coming months, starting with the SECC in Glasgow on December 12th and finishing at London's O2 Arena on February 20th 2010.
