Demand high for Lee Evans live shows in Sheffield
The Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield has announced "phenomenal demand" for Lee Evans tickets.
Local news provider the Thorne and District Gazette reported that the comedian will play four dates at the venue on December 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th.
It was noted that tickets for the performer's show Big at London's O2 Arena in 2008 sold out in an hour and recordings of the gig were then bought by 259,399 people on DVD.
This year, the new Lee Evans tour Roadrunner also sold out quickly for the capital city's venue and a sixth date was added for October 11th.
According to the promoters behind the series of gigs, the comedian's journey around the UK will be "record breaking", as the funnyman will play over 50 dates in front of more fans than ever before.
The Daily Telegraph said of Lee Evans: "For gags per minute and unflagging energy, he's unbeatable."
