Depeche Mode film to be screened in LA
Fans of Depeche Mode will be scrambling to get tickets to a screening in Los Angeles of a film centred around the band.
The Posters Came from the Walls is a documentary that follows Depeche Mode fans from across the world and aims to discover the unique relationship they have with the group.
Directed by British filmmakers Nick Abrahams and Turner Prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller, the footage features some surprise appearances, such as Nine Inch Nails singer Trent Reznor, and tracks fans from such places as Tehran and Moscow.
Talking to LA Weekly, when asked why certain fans were chosen, Jeremy Deller replied: "The countries and fans chose us basically, we knew that historically there would be a strong fan base in certain territories."
"We followed our noses and instincts too," he added.
Depeche Mode play two UK gigs this year, the first at the Royal Albert Hall on February 17th, and then at the O2 Arena on the 20th.
