Download Festival tickets go on presale
Presale Download Festival tickets were released at 09:00 GMT this morning (November 17th).
A limited number of passes are available to those who sign up to a newsletter from the event's organisers, but others will have to wait until tomorrow when the general sale begins.
The beginning of the presale was marked by Download Festival on its official Twitter page, announcing the release with a post ending: "Say your prayers, little one."
It seems the passes are being snapped up quickly by fans, as the organisers' profile was soon filling up with retweets of music lovers stating they had booked their place at the event.
This interest is coming even before the Download Festival 2012 line-up has been fully announced, although two headliners have been confirmed.
Metallica will be closing the second day of concerts (June 9th) and the newly reformed Black Sabbath will hit the stage the next night.
On Twitter, the organisers quashed rumours about what other outfits will be playing, following speculation about another major rock group.
"Just to confirm: Chase and Status are NOT the third Download 2012 headliners. Great band - but not right to headline #DL2012 (yet)," it was posted.
