Ecclestone promises more action in F1
Bernie Ecclestone has promised that Formula One will get more exciting as the season goes on following criticism of last weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix.
Some in the sport claimed that rule changes brought in for 2010 had rendered the sport dull due to a lack of overtaking.
For the new season, teams are not allowed to refuel during a race and have to reuse engines for a number of races, meaning drivers are more concerned with preserving their cars.
But Ecclestone has claimed that it is merely a matter of getting used to the new rules.
"I think there is nothing we can do immediately and we should not just knee-jerk into changes," said the F1 supremo.
"The first race with new regulations was always going to be a learning curve for them all. Now they know they can make improvements and be a bit bolder and we will get more action."
The Formula One world championship continues with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on the weekend of March 27th.
