Ed Sheeran a shoo-in for Brit Awards, says Olly Murs
It looks like Olly Murs could be among the fans clamouring for Ed Sheeran tickets at the moment, as he has predicted the artist could walk away with a Brit Award this week.
The event will be held tomorrow night (February 21st) and Olly Murs spoke to Capital FM about who he thinks will be collecting prizes.
While the singer thinks Ed Sheeran is a shoo-in for Best Newcomer, he said the artist is up against strong competition when it comes to Best Song.
"So many big songs in there ... have been nominated," he noted, arguing the category will be the "toughest" of the night.
However, he noted the singer songwriter is in with a good chance, saying: "'The A Team' by Ed Sheeran has been a massive song in the last year."
Ed Sheeran is up for four awards tomorrow, including Best British Male Solo Artist, Best British Breakthrough Act, Best British Single and the Mastercard British Album of the Year.
It looks like he could be among the frontrunners for the prizes, with many of the gigs for the autumn Ed Sheeran tour already sold out.
