Ed Sheeran tops album charts
Ed Sheeran tickets may be in stronger demand, as the singer's album + hit the top of the charts for the second time last week.
The record first came in at number one in September, when it was originally released, but news provider Music Week noted it experienced another burst of popularity after new single Drunk took to the airwaves.
Last week, the album was second in the charts to Adele's 21, but the female singer's LP has now fallen to number three, while Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto moved up a position to number two.
Meanwhile, Drunk is 29th in the singles charts after being in the top-40 for six weeks, beaten by the artist's previous single Lego House at number 26.
However, Music Week reported UK album sales have fallen overall, seeing a weekly drop of 1.4 per cent and a fall of 19.4 per cent compared with the same period a year before at 1,569,703 units sold.
Ed Sheeran tour dates 2012 have been announced for venues all over the world and the singer will be back in the UK in October and November.
A series of gigs will start at London's Hammersmith Apollo on October 13th before the musician plays across the country including shows in Brighton, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow.
