Edinburgh Military Tattoo to celebrate Diamond Jubilee
The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo will mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee next summer with a programme of music during the Scottish capital's famous Fringe Festival.
Opening at Edinburgh castle on August 3rd, the three-week performance will include bands from countries around the world including Switzerland, Australia and Norway.
It will be the second event led by new producer Brigadier David Allfrey, who stated: "We are all hugely excited at the ideas that are building in the production: great acts, great music, stunning technology, some real innovations ... all the sparkle that we expect from diamonds."
The performance will also include a "salute to the Monarch" in honour of Queen Elizabeth II on her 60th year on the throne.
Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo tickets can be booked online from 10:00 GMT on Thursday (December 1st).
However, fans are warned they cannot buy more than eight passes per household and their reservation may be cancelled if they try to order more.
