Eminem crowned new 'king of hip hop'
Music lovers with V Festival tickets will be looking forward to seeing the artist who Rolling Stone magazine has crowned the new 'king of hip hop'.
Eminem took the title ahead of other giants from the genre, including Jay-Z and Kanye West, who were ranked fourth and fifth respectively in the list.
Rolling Stone took a number of factors into account to determine hip hop's biggest stars, including digital sales, radio airplay, YouTube views, tour revenues, awards and reviews.
When all the different criteria were brought together to create an overall score, Eminem was on top with 1,169, followed by Lil Wayne and Drake.
Nicki Minaj featured in sixth position, ahead of successful artists such as Ludacris and Snoop Dogg.
Eminem fans will be able to see the performer headlining the V Festival this weekend, while Rihanna will play just before.
Arctic Monkeys will also be entertaining the crowds at Hylands Park and Weston Park, along with Plan B, Dizzee Rascal and many others.
