England need to up their game to beat Ireland in Six Nations, says Johnson
Martin Johnson has said his side will need to take things up a notch if they are to beat Ireland in the Six Nations match this weekend.
Speaking ahead of the third round of the tournament, which will be held in Twickenham tomorrow, the England Manager said the team will need to be on top form if they are to gain a victory.
"This is a huge game but thats what we are here for. But we are going to have to be better than we have been in our first two games to beat them," he commented.
As for revealing his game plan, Johnson refused to tell all about tomorrow's tactics, but said that his team would be upping the "tempo" and it was case of "imposing" themselves on the competition.
"That is the battle. The game will ebb and flow, but when it is going our way we need to take our chances and when it is not we need to not give away penalties or easy scores," the Telegraph quotes him as saying.
Ireland took home the Grand Slam title for the 2009 Six Nations, beating England in five of their last six championship matches.
