England 'not getting carried away with world number one status'
England are not getting carried away with their new status as the world's number one Test cricket side, according to Graeme Swann.
The team secured their position at the top of the International Cricket Council rankings by beating India at Edgbaston to clinch a four-match series.
Swann revealed that, while he and his teammates celebrated the win, they are being careful to avoid acting as if the series is over.
"It's a nice place to be, number one in the world, but it's not been the talk of the changing room," the spin bowler said.
"The plans for this series were set in place for all four games, so all the plaudits and 'high-fiving' can save itself until we get a bit of a break in November and December."
Fans with npower Test match tickets will be able to see England face India when the final game in the series gets underway at the Oval tomorrow (August 18th), after which the sides will play a string of Twenty20s and one-day internationals.
