Ex-boyfriend files $30m lawsuit against Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga is being sued for $30m

Lady Gaga is being sued for more than $30 million (£19.8 million) by an ex-boyfriend who claims he helped launch her career.

Rob Fusari argues in a lawsuit filed at the New York State Supreme Court that he came up with the singer's stage name and worked as her producer, as well as co-writing some of her songs including hit Paparazzi.

Over time the two also became romantically involved, says the suit, but after the relationship fizzled out so did their business dealings.

Mr Fusari alleges that once Lady Gaga hit the big time, money that was owed to him through royalties and producer fees were never paid.

"All business is personal. When those personal relationships evolve into romantic entanglements, any corresponding business relationship usually follows the same trajectory so that when one crashes they all burn. That is what happened here." the lawsuit said.

Lady Gaga comes to the UK for a series of gigs later this year, starting at the Trent FM Arena in Nottingham on May 27th.
