F1 legend backs Lewis Hamilton to turn season around

The Turkish Grand Prix takes place this weekend

Formula One legend Sir Jackie Stewart has tipped Lewis Hamilton to return to turn his season around.

Speaking ahead of this weekend's Turkish Grand Prix, Sir Jackie said the McLaren driver still has the potential to win races this season.

"Lewis is still the most aggressive passer, although his car isn't as good as the RBR-Renault right now," said the Scot.

"But we'll definitely see more of him as the season unfolds. The new points system means the drivers' race can change overnight. Lewis will win Grands Prix this year."

Hamilton has struggled so far in the first six races of the campaign and is yet to win a race.

He currently sits in seventh place in the drivers' championship, 19 points of Mark Webber who heads the table.

However, Hamilton set the pace at the first practice session this morning (May 28th) for the Turkish Grand Prix, which takes place on Sunday, May 30th.
