Ferdinand: 'I'm back to my best now'
Rio Ferdinand has assured those with Manchester United tickets that he is now back to his best following a season plagued with injuries.
The centre-back has made just 26 appearances for his club this campaign after suffering a succession of injuries to his back and calf.
But, with a pivotal clash with Chelsea this weekend and the likelihood of a champions league final to follow, fans will be relieved to hear Ferdinand is fully fit and ready to go.
Speaking to United Review, he commented: "My back is fine and hopefully I can put the niggling calf problems I have had this season behind me.
"I feel good and to be involved in the big games at this stage of the season, fighting for trophies, is what you want as a footballer. We just need to make sure we get the job done."
United take on Shalke in the Champions League tonight (May 4th) ahead of the match with Chelsea at Old Trafford on May 8th.
